Photosynthesis removes nitrogens and phosphoric wastes, as well as silica, heavy metals and organics, while producing valuable oxygen; moreover,algal turfs are the most efficient photosynthetic organisms known, fixing nutrient at a rate of 10 to 100 times the rate of other plants and algae. Without the turfs you dont have a scrubber.

Mini ATScrubber

This sleek, all black acrylic unit was formaly known as our "hang on the back model". It measures 35.5" long and mounts on the back of any standard glass aquarium long enough to accomidate it. It also includes a dump chute and an adjustable prefilter box for surface skimming. Comes with 2- 32 watt compact fluorescent fixture and reflector. 97 square inches of 2 ply screen. This scrubber is recommended for tanks up to 100 gallons

Scrubber Shuttles

Our Scrubber Shuttles are designed to mount directly above or sit on top of the aquarium. They are perfect for acrylic tanks that do not accommodate the hang on the back ATScrubber. These systems provide a larger, more forceful surge wave. Scrubber shuttles all black acrylic construction with attached dump chute.
